Putting the sensor in a cylinder head only picks up heat from one cylinder bank, which while it worked for years, is not the best choice. IF you are using a thermal probe (a wire ...

I wondered if anyone out there with an Duramax lly has switched to a electric cooling fan set up.Im a new duramax owner and it seams like the noise from the stock fan drowns out the sound of the engine. The odd part is I live in the north east and it's cold out and at start up all I hear is this fan kicking on and off.Maybe I just need to stop thinking about it and shoot a little more without ...

The primary reason I switched to electric was due to the way I had to set up my mechanical fan to fit the factory fan shroud. As I've mentioned, I'm running the original diesel radiator which is 6" wider than a standard radiator for a 350 equipped truck.

For your 2008 Chevy Express 3500 van with a 6.0 liter engine the Flex-a-lite 16" Trimline Reversible Electric Radiator Fan # FLX116 that you referenced is a confirmed fit and would work great. It can move 2,215 CFM which will be plenty to keep your coolant cool and then for a thermostat kit you'd just want the part # FLX31149.
